All you Grandparents will know what I mean....AT LAST...my eldest is having a baby in January....I am to be a grandma :banana: now I will be on tender hooks for months, I'm so excited. When she told my Son he was going to be an Uncle he was so giddy, he was smiling ear to ear, my Husband is still coming around from the news he says he now feels old.

congrats on the upcoming granbaby.my 4 neices an nephews are all grown.so no lil 1s under foot now.
 
That's great news, chrisy! Get ready for the time of your life. We have three and are expecting our fourth in Feb. I can tell you from experience it's impossible to feel low or have a bad day when you're with your grandchildren. I believe I've said this before: they are a gift from God to compensate us for growing old.

I just picked mine up to take to church ball tonight. I''m not sure how much of the games I got to watch, I followed a diaper in a dress all night. She ruined a perfectly good can of diet coke, ate my cheese pretzel, spilled red kool aid down the front of both of us, and screamed like a man when I tried to get her out of the swing! 17 months old and she's the boss!!

Nana. It fits. I like it. Congrats again. I can tell you are going to be an outstanding grandmother. Grandmothers are very special. The good ones dote on the grandkids and teach them a whole lot about unconditional love. Kind of like a safe harbor in an uncertain world. Not only did mine teach me that, she also taught me what great cooking tasted like and how to catch a big perch out of any pond we fished in.
 
Congratulations!! May it be a healthy pregnancy with a safe delivery of your grandbaby!! I only have one and she sure has brought much joy! You will now begin a new chapter in your life. :tiphat:
 
Not so different Chrisy. My children call my mom "Nana" and is "Nan" now that they are older. Can buy cards here with "Nana" on them for Mothers Day. A/B is right ~ you will never shop the same again. Are they going to find out what it is (aside from a baby I mean)? If it is a girl I have a name suggestion :nod:
 
I think the baby should be named Diane :D
It was good enough for me so it should be good enough for your grandchild. What do you think Chrisy :pretty: If it's a boy name him Dane :cboy:

Why does no one name their cow angie?

I think angie is a fine name for a baby person. Not quite the same as a calf, but it'll do! :lol2:

My new heifer that I am going to buy in October will be named Angie :heart:
So that being said, you owe me one and Chrisy..............Angie loves the name Diane and Dane. So thats two votes, Im ahead :banana: :banana:
