I attended a feeder sale this week. Someone had a 390 lb belted galloway. I was surprised at the price this animal sold for. Most back hided animals around that weight were selling for $1.30-$1.50. This guy only brought $.52. There was nothing noticeably wrong with the animal. He actually looked pretty good. Is there some reasong buyers shy away from this breed?

sounds to me like he was discounted because of his breed.an they knew they could dock the calf.an sale him cheap, the guy that bought him got a heck of a bargin.
