I had a cow come up open (blood tested bred to Hoover Dam at 38 days) yesterday. I ran her into the chute, snubbed up her halter and out came the bees. They had nested in the pipe

That's the fastest I have ever put a straw in!

I had the same thing happen last summer. I was doing ear tattoos. They were nested under a bracket at the back of the chute. Wasps. Got me on the elbow. Now I spray that area with wasp repellent. They did not nest there this summer.

sounds like some kind of wasp

Yellow jackets are the bane of my existence here, but we have other wasps that look kinda similar, nest under roof overhangs, (open nests), and they really don't bother anyone.. they'll fly around but they don't attack.. they do like nesting in pipes too
