My Beefmaster/Charolais cross calves are arriving, they are a little bigger than I expected and a little darker in color than I expected but I'm very pleased with them.

Most of the purebred Beefmaster calves I've seen were kinda small at birth.

I will try to post some pictures asap.
 
beefmasters arent really known for small birthweights. thats something you have to select for. beefmasterxs gestating in charolais moms have plenty of room to grow too.

You're exactly right, my Dad was talking about how beefy looking these calves are when born.

i know the 1st calf we had.my brother could not beleive how thick it was at 2 days old.i told him they supposed tobe small an thick an fast growing.
