well the springing beefmaster i bought calved wed evening.an let me tell you she picked when it was storming to calve.calf looks just like momma.id guess the bw at 65lbs from the looks of the calf.im thinking its a heifer but havent got up close yet.to stiff an slow to run from momma.
 
better keep an eye on just in case, since shes not sposed to be due for a couple of months.

everything is fine.i just came in from feeding the cows an she brought the baby up to the trough.an i got a good look at it.im pretty sure its a heifer.but she was running an playing so much couldnt get a good look.momma has more than enough milk to raise the baby.she is a milk wagon.
