Aggie when I'm looking for info on breeds I usually start on the Cattle Today home page on the left hand side under breeds short but informative http://cattle-today.com/Beefmaster.htm

On both sight the cattle were real uniform , real red... Looks like SG's.. The beef master I see are ever which a color and strips also....

Lasater Philosophy of Cattle Raising by Laurence M. Lasater.
History of the development and everything you need to know about the Beefmaster breed.
I found it at my local public library.
