Irish beef is heading to the Chinese market for the first time in 18 years

Ireland is not a very big country, I can't imagine that it would be much of an effect. I'd like to know what their production numbers are.

It would be equal to kansas , Kansas – 6.4 million.

he results of the December 2016 Livestock Survey show that the total number of cattle was 6,613,400 an increase of 191,200 (+3.0%) on December 2015. This was mainly due to increases of 118,200 (+7.1%) in Cattle 1-2 years, 55,300 (+4.5%) in Dairy cows and 50,800 (+2.5%) in Cattle under 1 year. See Table 1.

I'm thinking more along the line of China looking for other sources and trying to replace what they import from us.
