Many states have instituted Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certification. Many have not yet stepped up to the plate. Some buyers will not buy from anyone not holding a BQA number.
Purdue University has a very good online course. Anyone can study their material free. If you want to take the tests and be certified you need to pay only $10.
Several states are using this course for their own certification process;it is well worth the time. WE will all need to do this in the near future.
It is good for the customer, consumer and the producers!
