OK, the Bears beat the Colts last night. But hey, it is a point of pride that the Colts don't worry about pre-season games.
I'd like to claim Grossman as a native Hoosier. But growing up in Bloomington, the tofu and bean sprout capital of the State doesn't make one a QB. Y'all are gonna hafta do better.

Fell asleep at halftime, so I didn't know till this morning. Doesn't mean anything, since the starters usually only play a quarter at best. I read recently that the players and coaches say they don't need or want all those preseason games. They say one at the most would do, but they do it for the extra stadium and TV revenue.

As for Grossman, I wasn't impressed(again). I gave him the benefit of the doubt last year since, because of injuries, it was basically his rookie season. But you're right, we need better for the Bears to be successful again. They're not a dominating type team who can skim by with an average quarterback. Thomas Jones being gone makes it even more important for Grossman to step up.

That's what got them there last year. Guaranteed 6 games against weaker opponents. I love my Bears, but I'm also a realist. They're good, but they're not a team that can dominate like the '85 team did. Of course, they're isn't anyone who stands out in the NFC so who knows? Someone has to go to the Super Bowl. We'll know more in a couple of months. Right now, I'm paying more attention to my beloved Cubs. ;-)

Why can't the Bears skim by with a average QB? Number one special teams second in defense and three pro bowlers on the offensive line! Grossman is so far above average, why do people have to over react in preseaon, as a fan I don't want the Bears to show everyone there entire playbook in preseason. Expect 13-3 again with a lose the last game of the season when they rest. They will be in the super bowl again!

Preseason pretty much doesn't mean sh##. I think grossman will be fine. When comparing his career to peyton's, he had a much better start to his career. He just has to work out all the kinks. Thats my opinion.

You're right. They probably can skim by with an average QB. But a really good, consistent QB could make them a great team. Who knows, Grossman might get it done yet.

Right again. Preseason games don't mean diddly squat, and I've never felt otherwise. Good point about the playbook.

I was thinking more like 11-5, but I hope your right at 13-3. Either one should win the division. And yes, they could end up in the Super Bowl again. I don't see anyone better in the NFC right now.

NFL QB's (the successful ones) don't drop the ball near that often. Peytons early years were purgatory, but he never made those kind of mistakes. I cannot remember the last time he fumbled a snap.

Grossman takes tons of abuse, it has to be wearing on him. Peyton had a much friendlier audience.

Did you see the rest of his team. A QB can't do it all on his own. He has to have a line to protect him and receivers that can run routes.

Over the last two year favre has lost ten games for his team in the fourth quarter by forcing to much and not using his weaponsd. He lost half there games the last two years. He does have a pro bowl wide receiver. The sad thing is it isn't his arm, it is his head.

Wrong! Experience? I am talking about throwing to the running back or throwing it away instead of throwing interceptions on first down with two minutes left a fifty yards to go. No QB has been more damaging to his team the last two years, not counting the dog killer.
