bear again...

so hubby decides to go and start working on a bee yard fence on another quarter. He had to go to an old yard site to get some boards to strengthen the fence. He comes back and his pail full of staples is gone. He said he wasn't gone more than 20 minutes. So he goes in the bush to look for the pail, tree hits him in the eye and knocks out a contact..never happened before. finds his contact, fell on his face. So here he is walking through the bush to the Rav (previously used to haul a calf). cleans his hand, replaces his contact, heads out again to find his pail. Dummy forgot to take a gun :o Track a bear with no gun....? Any how he finds his pail, scrunched, dented, mauled...but he has his staples.

As i write this, hubby is on the phone to his father asking where the gun got to...only to find out a fox was at the hen house, stealing a chicken...they are talking on how they are going bait this fox without killing our dogs. Final desicion, take my sick chicken kill it and put a peg in the ground tie the chicken to it and wait in the barn loft with a gun...guess the chickens are not free range any more :( :(

...if it doesn't rain it pours...
did i mention it hasn't stopped raining and we have had near 4" of rain...not that i am complaining cause we really needed it. It's comes in showers nice rains not deluges... :) :banana:

sounds like your hubby needs to keep a gun with him at all times.an he sure needs to go fox hunting.we have some foxes living in a hay barn not far from the house.

we have had bear round here frequent like the last few years. last year one suprised a homeowner down the road and gave the poor fella a massive heart attack.

Tell your husband that it takes approximately 1200 feet of barbed wire wrapped in a brush hog to completely choke out a 90 HP tractor. He'll understand.
