BCS in a middle aged cow

One thing I never really learned how to do was BCSs... So looking to see what everyone thinks this cow scores at? She wouldn't really stand well... Cow was Born in 2004.. I guess that makes her a little more than middle aged..

She's a pretty color.

She's a prettier color when the smoke isn't so thick in the air... She has Red Dapples...

She's in good shape for a 10 year old.. but I wouldn't put her above a 6.

Might want to check the copper content of the mineral you're feeding, she may have a pretty color, but the 'netted' look is a telltale of copper deficiency and is quite clear in the first picture... which would mean she would probably turn a darker red, especially since she has black in her tail and around her snout

Nesbit we actually feed a special high copper mineral. The drought has been messing with everything and we have not been able to keep the mineral up for them due to an invasion of cows from a neighboring range. Nearly 70 pairs broke through the fence and we have not been able to get them back out of here and I cannot afford to feet mineral to 70 pairs that don't belong to me.



Taurus- yes the black one is a Brahman influenced bull that belongs to the guy I share this range with. Barely a weanling but a Much better attitude than some of the other bulls from that bloodline.

OK, I don't blame you for not trying to feed 70 other cows minerals! Hope the recent rains give you some grass and help ease the smoke a bit.. it's been bad here too

Yeah the extra cows have been here 2 months but I cannot get their owner to put out any effort to fix the fence. He did get about 12 pairs put back into a different section of his range but that doesn't really help. Worst part is there are only two places with drinkable water on this section of range... My place and the neighbors.. so that is alot to water too with the drought. Grass is holding but barely. It did green up a little bit with this rain. I'm hoping to make it until mid September before I have to bring them in and feed hay. Normally we don't bring them in until late October or the first of November.
