When I poked a rifle out your dining room window, I had to shoot around some no climb. :cowboy:
What do you not like about fixed knot I have been thinking about putting a lot of it upgreybeard":32hfn5qc said:any fixed knot woven would be a royal pita to keep up here and If I had it last Sept, I doubt I would have had a single fence still standing. Barbed wire everywhere here, tho I am now going back on some of the barbed fencing and stretching 3 strands of HT barbless between the lower 3 strands of barbed wire..making it more calf proof.

Fence, what brand and gauge barb wire do you prefer? Thanks

14 gauge Tornado. It's a little pricey but in the overall scheme it's worth it. I'm finishing up a whale of a job right now..
I've taken lots of pictures and I'm working on a video of stretching and handling this wire. I'll post here in a day or two.

For normal field or pasture fencing fixed knot woven is the way to go. Easier to install, more durable, and will last longer. As well as making a much better fence. For example, my 100 pound lab could squeeze under a 4 strand barb fence, not so with 949-6 woven. Its a true physical barrier. When installed proper with good quality posts and braces it will last a lifetime. Good braces are a must for HT fixed knot woven, otherwise it will never get good and tight.

For my own projects, I use mostly barb wire. The only wire I will ever use is Tornado. I am not patronizing Farm Fence. It is simply better wire.

What makes it better?
