I hear some pretty great things about the Jet Black calves. His $B is 179. Am I gonna have to pour feed in them to get those awesome calves? How are his heifers breeding back?

Impressive bull and pedigree.
I have not seen any calves.
As for pouring feed into them, his numbers say big eaters in that feed intake is in top 25% but feed efficient as they are top 10% for rate of gain.
Big cattle.... carcass weight top 4% and mature weight top 20%

Sorry I can't give you any real life experience with him.

I bought a Jet Black bull last year. I didn't AI him but he is an AI'd bull. He's a really good looking animal. Haven't seen any of his calves yet but at 12mos he was almost the same size as my 2 year old Objective bull. Great demeanor also (so far).

5063? Buy a feed truck. And HP is not impressive. If I used him, every calf would go to the feedlot. But I do not plan to use him as I do not want a feed truck or too many open cows from the calf demand on them. Been there, done that. More power to you.
