We did a job yesterday and I had a ton of bamboo leaves and stalks I brought them home to give to neighbors and my grandmother who still fish with a cane pole. I parked the truck and trailer with the bamboo in a small pasture where I burn trash and rotted wood I got up this morning and the cattle ate the crap out of the bamboo I got worried and looked up online cattle eating bamboo and apparently its ok for them to eat and some people feed it to them. I guess if you are short on hay and have a good supply of bamboo let them have it. :2cents:

Sounds like what we use to call "switch cane". Our fishing pole source. lol Shafts on bamboo gets very big and the plant can be 50 ft. tall or more.

I brush hogged our stand of it tehm turned the cows in a couple of days later. They fought each other to keep the stuff eaten down. Did much better on that then the existing range grass or prickly pear cactus pads

I bet theres just enough left on the ground to get it started growing on your place. Only takes a little and you cursed for life

It's like tallow--nobody has just one.
Once it gets growing, and it only takes one green joint, bamboo has to have every root dug up to get rid of it.
