bale feeding wagon

I have this trailer that I'm going to make into a bale wagon. I am contemplating 2 designs so far but would like your input in case there is something out there I have not thought of. 1 st thought is to run 2 lengths of pipe front to back to make a track to slide bales in from the back and weld uprights on the sides wide enough for them to get their heads in. 2nd is to put pipe cross ways the trailer and that would allow me to put 4 bales on it and no up rights. I plan to put a cow panel on the bottom to keep as much hay on trailer as I can.

nice trailer to work with good idea. I want one only improvement i can see is putting like a box outside it length wise to try to catch the spillage.

I wonder if it would be advantageous to make this like the new hay ring assemblies that have the cone in the middle of the ring? I have not used any of those new ring assemblies but they say that the save a lot of hay. I understand that when the cow pulls hay out of the cone in the middle, what falls still falls into the ring.

I will document it when I start it. I'm. Rethinking the plans now because I am putting a fel on my tractor this weekend and will be able to load it easier.

Are you going to just haul hay on this trailer? Or load it and leave it in the pasture to feed off of? A buddy of mine built something like this but put a top and a v-shaped bars on it and loads about 3 bales and drags it to the pasture for the cows to eat off of. Seems to work okay??

I thought I had a couple more pics. but don't. as you can see here I took an old hay ring and cut it and welded it to the frame. I have since tacked wire panel on top of the ring pieces . I have not decided If I need some sides on it yet.

I have that same Rhino se6 cutter. It's been a hoss of a mower.
Trailer looks good. 6 bales? Let us know how well it works with the cattle feeding off it and how easy (or not) it is to load.

If you can turn your tires around.
If you can't weld some valve stem protectors on them. Dismount tires first, I always thought it was fine to just pull the shrader valve till I saw the videos of the chemical reaction of the inside of the tires blowing up.

i couldnt see the trailer hitch but i hope its up off the ground.because if its not you have a good leg and foot breaker there for the cows.had a cow catch her foot on a tongue pull trailer years ago and break her leg.

The tongue is same height as trailer. I left the front open and set a bale on the tongue .

The trailer holds 4 rolls. And we can tow it to different pastures as needed.
There's some of my bloated cattle, M5.
