i have a heifer that was confirmed by blood test to be p/g my question is she has no bag yet and she was due on the 19 sept 2013,how long does it take to make a bag.

some heifers don't make much of a bag, and do it just before calving... Are you sure that she couldn't have been bred later? Is her butt getting flabby?

she was a/i with one other heifer. the other heifer has given birth three days ago she to was due on the 19th of sept. her back side is softeningup and flaby

depending on the breed and sex of the calf, she may hang on to it a while longer...

Here is what I notice for gestation times in my herd (shorthorn/saler/gelbvieh crosses)

Average time is 288 days
very rare before 275 days
never had one over 295 days (that I know of )
first timers are usually 2 days early from average
bull calves will be about 3 days later than heifer calves

I don't know how many days gestation you're figuring with, but be ready for it any time by the sounds of it.
