Jealousy, the most useless personality trait a person can harbor.

If your neighbor has more money than you, he is more likely to help fix the fence lines you share.
If your neighbor has more than you, he is less likely to ask you for something.
If your neighbor is smarter than you, he may help you fix something.
If your neighbor is wiser than you, he may help you plan something.
If your neighbor is better looking than you, he may fix you up with a lady.
If your neighbor is stronger than you, he may help you lift something.
If your neighbor is bigger than you, he may pick you up when you fall.

But he ain’t gonna do a dam thing for you if you mistreat him because you are jealous.

If I had 10 siblings, I would prefer that everyone of them be better off than me. I would then know they would less likely need my help.

Nice Post! It sure would be nice if more people thought that way in today's times. I am sure we would not have some of the problems we do in this world.

Good words of wisdom
And sadly terribly true...
The jealous monster at my work is now finding himself in that position, where I have figured him out and tired of his crap.

Sad that things have to go that way but it is almost inevitable.

Jealousy is both reasonable and belongs to reasonable men, while envy is base and belongs to the base, for the one makes himself get good things by jealousy, while the other does not allow his neighbour to have them through envy.

I, for one, have learned about being jealous over what someone else has. when I was a kid I dreamed of having a nice truck, home ,ect. and being in Miami when the Mariel boat lifts started back in '78 or '79.. i was in 4th grade lol .anyway ..those people came over and with in a week had a nice house and new car designer clothes, ect and here my Dad was working his bottom off to make ends meet for his family.. that was hard to take for a kid wearing hand me downs.. but as i grew up i learned that nothing is more valuable than that you have earned by your own hand :) so i don't look at what people have or don't have.. i look at the people themselves and what they stand for .. cause we all know. you can't take it with you..at least not all of it lol ...:)

What if your neighbor is from Southern California and you are not a bit jealous of him but you wish that lightning would stri......

I've never wasted my time worrying over what other people have.
I've been too busy struggling to take care of me and mine.
I have always been pretty low maintenance and been to busy to worry and wish for something I can get by without.

Envy is evil plan and simple.
