I have a herford bull for the last 2 year he goes to limping when the grass start growing good. Does he have an allergic reaction to the new grass or could it just be a coincidence?

Fescue and Orchard Grass mostly some weeds.

I doubt if it's fescue foot, but I'vebeen wrong before. I'ld look to a physical problem. Rock in the foot, foot rot, heel wart, strained muscle, arthritis, etc.
How did you treat it last year or did it just go away by itself?

Since it happens at the same time every year, could be that he's working harder now due to breeding requirements and maybe chasing the girls harder.

Also, if its a hind foot, could also be breeding related.

thats a possibility and the ground around here starts to dry out and the dried out hoof prints and its like walking on a creek bed, i about spring my own ankles just walking in the pastures ;-)

WE sent him to the vet and he didnot find anything he just finally got over it. What is fescue foot???

it comes from a endophyte fungus that grows in the fescue. slows blood flow to the legs down to the feet also cause's tail switchs to fall off rough hair coat weight loss and so on
