if you have taken the prescription drug avandia, and have suffered """death"" heart attack or stroke.. you may be intideled to a lawsuit settlement
It ain't worth it Larry...nobody wants to wake up dead.larryshoat":30mfncwa said:I haven't, but I reckon I could find some and take it to get in on the lawsuit.
Edit- I haven't had death, heart attack or stroke, dang it, some people have all the luck.

have you put on a bit of weight? as glipizide has that effect on the body, I was on that along with the Insulin Doc took me off of it as my weight started to go up, they found out it was the drug after I had gone through a lot of tests. I am now on (januvia)Sitagliptin instead.pdfangus":y3wln9v9 said:i took it for a while and then hearing stuff about it got the doc to get me off of it a couple years ago.
different docotr and he was baffled that the original doc had started me on that skipping whole classes of drugs. New doc took me back to the beginning and now I take Metformin and glipizide.
no heart attack or strokes that I know of but my wife says I probably wouldn't know if I had a stroke anyway. wouldn't slow me down much more.

I was on avandia years ago and couldn't tolerate it so was off of it within a few weeks. There was no suing then, :(

It does but it is not a drug used on its own, it would be in conjunction with your Metformin. I am allergic to metformin that was one reason I was put on insulin.
Why don't you ask Doc for the slow release metformin that you only have to take once a day in the morning, supposed to be good for weight loss, you will still have to take your byetta twice a day, how you getting on with byetta? I was on the trial of it in-conjunction with insulin and it done nothing for me, then they tried the new one Victoza, that made me ill, so went back onto byetta, now just the insulin and januvia, and gastric band to help me keep down at this size 14 English (size 12 US.)fit2btied":2clcffcc said:Doctor put me on Avandia at first but within six months said he didn't like what he was reading about it, plus he said it would also cause weight gain and I certainly didn't need that. He switched me to Glucovance and Glucophage, now on the generics Metformin and Glyburide/Metformin. Not on insulin but take a belly shot of Byetta at breakfast and supper, Metformin at breakfast, supper and bedtime with Glyb/Met at lunch. Was on two Glyb/Met a day, but Dr cut it to one a day - said it would prevent weight loss.
