automatic waterers

Does any one know of a good automatic waterer for cattle. I don't have electricity to the lot and would rather not have a propane heater. I have looked at mirafounts and spi waterers. Are there any others that don't need heat or which one is better?

We use Ritchie waterers. The ones we have arn't heated. You just have to have enough cattle per hole.

We have one of these too. They work well, as long as there is enough cattle drinking to keep it from freezing up.

The Ritchie we have has a little valve to turn on to trickle water and we've never had a problem with it icing.
Had other problems with it, but not ice.

We have Freedom Fountains (like miramount) as long as you use a 3 - 4 foot heat tube in the bottom seems to work pretty good. Never had one to freeze even at 5 degrees. Only problem I ever had was with heavy sleet. We had to stomp the balls down and then the loose ice didn't let the balls seal back up. Was a mess for a few days.
