Yesterday my daughter was asked for her autograph at a IDPA shooting competition yesterday... It was her first time, maybe the first of many to come. She was added to the Wilson Combat team, the first and only female. She's teamed with some of the worlds best shooters. Hard to believe that it hasnt even been a year since she started competing... and barely 2 since she started shooting..

Wilson Combat is announcing that rifle today....yall got a sneak peek... ;-) Daughter loves it...says she can shoot the heck out of it..well, thats real obvious in the video..

Talked to her on the way to work, she's a home ec teacher.... She said in the video, her husband intentionally shorted her a bullet.. He's always doing things to pull her chain. I know all too well that she can get flustered. Bill has picked up on this and is working really hard to get her out of it...I just bought her clothes and stuff like most mothers. When she was a diver, i dreaded her moods after we'd driven half way across the country to compete. You cannot dive in a mood. So i did what i could, bribed her into a better mood with a new purse or shirt.. When she was a gymnast, it was candy. Candy doesnt work in diving, messes everything up.
She's grown now and has experts working with her...

Another match, Top Lady and 4th in her division.. She even fell in one stage, but popped back up and still did good...She has a competition every weekend in May. She hurt her hand pretty bad in the fall and will need a few weeks for it to heal..She also damaged her gun, but luckily, she's friends with the manufacturer..got it fixed up quick..

Daughter placed well another match, top lady, second in her division.. She gave her first interview this week.

Beautiful young lady doing well. I know you all are proud of her.
Thanks...

She has another win under her belt..Went to a competition in Alabama, won top lady again. She placed 6th in her division, but she had an off day. On the way there, she started breaking out in poison ivy she picked up off her pet deer Daphne who showed up after being gone for over a month. She hugged her, thus, breaking out all over her face and arms. She went ahead with the competition, but did not shoot her best.. lesson learned, do not hug deers...

She's a fine shot.

I shot either 26 or 28 rounds this afternoon at an unnamed varmit with my concealed carry gun, before I finally killed it. Maybe I could get some pointers.

I cant hit the side of a barn.. She got her skills from her father, all 4 of our kids got their fathers shooting skills. Maybe the only pointer i can give, and its from what i've seen my daughter do, is practice. She shoots thousands of rounds weekly. But then again, she's sponsored so that makes it affordable..lol....
