Yeah it confused me a bit when I went up the first week, only for a day. The bottom storey sure is the hottest! I didn't really understand why they had the british and european downstairs.

Also the Square Meaters and Red Polls in the sale ring was probably a good and bad idea. Good - because it's a hell of a lot cooler. but Bad - because on the northern end(i think, I can't remember :P ) there's no way to stop any cold air flow, because it sure as hell was cold those nights.

The thousand dollars a head is taking into account transport (which is the big killer) and feed for the show, as well as the entry fees.

Woah, a two storey cattle shed. I guess its true what they say about our shows being kindergarten compared to brisbane.

I can't remember what we did this year, but all the Dexter's were together, all the Lowlines were together, and the Galloways & Mini Greys. Either way there was HEAPS of room!
I hope thats just a typo and you meant to write Suqare Meaters! SM breeders get really angry if you call their cattle miniature, I learnt the hard way. btw, what happened to the charolais bull in your avatar?

Nope I didn't mean the Square Meaters. They were on in the first week.

There's a recognised breed called Aussie Greys, which are Mini Murrays, even smaller than the SM's.

Thanks for the info on the Droughtie Colin, and Keren I just felt like a change :P

And the cost, yeah that's a bit easier to understand now!

Oh, well now I feel a bit embarassed for not knowing about them.

Have you been converted to Droughtmasters? :D

we usually book one or two extra spaces so we know we've got room

Can you book extra spaces at your shows or do you mean that you enter extra animals and then don't take them? Cos lots of people used to do that but then they started fining people for not bringing all the animals they entered. Some of the big studs with plenty of money still do it and just pay the fines, but it about $100 for each animal you don't bring.

A few years ago I had to fit a bull, heifer and cow and calf in two stall spaces at Sydney. Not a pleasant experience.

Nah haven't been converted. Always liked the Droughties, showed a Droughtie heifer for school this year.

Nope you'll never get me away from those Charolais! :P
