ATV''s with power steering?

I told you about my Honda Rancher I think Tom. I found my shoulders getting strained from riding it around particularly on rough terrain. My father in laws' Polaris doesn't seem to have the same effect. I attribute the difference to the height and angle of the handle bars. Power steering sounds like a pretty cool feature.

One of friends owns a large dealership so I get to see and mess with most of the models. Power steering is well worth the price. I have an 09 Polaris Ranger Crew that doesn't have it and I sure wish it did.

Mine doesn't have it, but Sara's does. Her 3 year old can drive it, and does with her or her husband sitting with him. Also, it looks a lot easier to hold your beer and drive. gs

When the power steering fails, does it revert back to manual steering or does steering stop alltogether?

That is one thing I wanted to know. One thing is they are too expensive.

I just bought a new 2012 Honda Rancher 4x4. I bought the basic model with 5 speed foot shifter and no power steering. There is $1500 difference in price between mine and the top of the line Rancher which includes full instrumentation, fully automatic transmission, power steering, and independent rear suspension.

I have never had power steering so didn't think I would miss something I've never had. I do not ride as agressively as I used to either. I do miss the ride and handling of my Polaris, which I kept and intend to fix up and use again. This way I will have a spare machine when helping neighbors or when they help me.

Got a Mule with power steering, and it's very nice, but really not all that necessary. On the other hand, it would be welcome on my Cub Cadet riding mower. That thing really needs it.........
