Attention admins - Page Layout

Not sure where to put this, so I'll post it here.

In regards to this website - is it really necessary to have a big brown bar that takes up half the page with the little logo in the center? The way it displays, I dont see one topic until I scroll down a page, where as if it took up less room a few of the newest topics would be right there when you click on a page..

I want to see new topics, so why must one scroll down every single time you come here, or return from a topic. :?

Amazing the things I don't see. For some reason I never pay one bit of attention to any ads anywhere. Guess I'm eager to get to the topics. Never look to see who else is signed on or who's birthday it is. I use very few of the real functions of the site. Just open it, click on first topic and read...go to next until I've checked them all. I do enjoy reading some of the papers on the opening page. Got some good consultants offering a lot of good information there from time to time.

That is an interesting point - I could say the same about any of them really, tv, billboards, newpapers.. Ad's everywhere, but I never pay attention to them.. I'd say the radio is where I hear them the most and actually know what they are for, because I usually just sit thru them, any where else I don't even register that they are there. Millions upon millions spent on them so it must just leach into our brains, because I would think most people are the same way and don't want to look at them. Ask them what the ad was 30 seconds ago and most would have no clue.
