our lil puppy thinks he is a cow he eats all the calf starter when he gets in the pen with Bo.

My brother's black mouth cur does the same. I've seen that silly dog jump up in the calf trough and sit and eat the calf feed. I asked him once did he want a napkin and something to drink...nope...he just hopped out and jumped in the water trough and sat and lapped and sat and lapped...ding dong dog.

Not trying to be a smart donkey here, but it's because of the molasses in the calf starter - dogs have a sweet tooth. Most of them will also lick protein tubs, and eat rolled grain due to the molasses content. Just thought I'd mention that in case you didn't already know why. :)

Who you callin' a moron? 8)

Moi? :o There are one or two I would like to, but that's going a bit far, I think. ;-)

Go ahead, we're all friends here! Most of the time, anyways...

Need to watch the dogs around starter feeds. Alot of them contain Bovatec or Rumensen. A bite every now and again won't hurt but a meal can kill them.

My Komondor hops in the feed trough when I feed, and it doesn't matter if it is corn gluten or chops....he thinks he has to get his share. He keeps the girls at bay until I get all the feed put out...then he hops out and lets them go to it. ;-) :cboy:

My Rat Terriors will eat range cubs, starter feed, whole corn or anything else except hay, if they thing someone or something else is eating it. And it isn't because they are underfed!!

I like Komodors, but it seems like you should dip them in Mop and Glow and let them run in the kitchen. :D :D
