ok, need your advice!...My place seems to attract these varmints. I can eliminate a few with lead, but today had to mow the early growth of grass an found two new dens under the propane tank and forsethia(sp?) bush. I have used hedge apples and moth balls under my house to keep mice and rats from that area. Will they also help to throw some into the burrows of these critters?

First choice is lead but would like to may them feel not wanted if I cannot spot them. I have taken about 10 FEL buckets to fill up holes in the hayfield and pasture. These things are getting to me! :hide:

Anybody with a good recipe is welcome to trap and shoot!

Don’t know much about armadillos, but nothing short of lead is going to deter groundhogs. Few years ago I saw one of the guys we lease a field to driving around the field before planting season. I stopped by to BS and he said he had heard that bale netting soaked in fuel and stuffed down the holes will drive ways groundhogs. He stuffed some down about 6 holes around the field. A week or so later all the netting was pulled out of the holes and the groundhogs went about their business of destroying the beans that year.
