We sold to China at one time do we still have a market for beef in China? About the same as a starving farm family eating up the seed saved for the next crop.

And selling quite a few of prime breeding age cows to boot. Not a good business plan for the long term but it sounds like they are in a cash crunch and credit is nonexistent.

Why does high interest rates matter if your making money on your product? Something sounds fishy to me. I'd welcome higher interest rates again like what I paid on my first house loan.

Everybody looks to sell to the huge China market. No news there.
Argentina government and economy has been a mess for ninety years or so. No news there.
Argentine cow herd has been culled hard for decades. Growing more soybeans (for China) is a major reason. No news there.

Issue is China culled about half their hogs recently due to swine flu but have a big tariff on our pork. So they are looking for other cheap meat - - chicken or nasty cull cow cuts. When we call a truce in the trade war there should be an increased demand for cheap American cuts, but China won't need much feed grains imported since they culled half of their hogs...
