Though I rately think or talk about this, the recent posts about 911 and the tragic loss of life reminded me of something that I experienced some time ago and I was wondering what your opinions on the subject are.

Several years ago I came to the aid of a guy who had been severely injured. He was a mess and I began giving him CPR. My buddy called for help but it was going to take some time for anyone to get to us. While giving him CPR - I noticed we were surrounded by people. Chuck didn't seem concerned and I was too busy to care but I could clearly see the people out of my periferral vision.

When help finally relieved, I stood up and saw only Chuck. I asked him where all the people came from and where did they go? Puzzled he said there was no one else around.

To make a long story short, the guy died minutes after I was relieved - I still don't even know his name. I relived that night many nights. The weird thing was - as I best can recall - the "people" that I "saw" standing around us were wearing church clothes and holding hands with their heads bowed. (This was completely out of place) Their presence (from memory) gave me a sense of peace.

I don't know what to think about this. Was it shock? My mind playing a trick on me to dampen the horrific reality of the situation. Or do you think they could have actually been angels?

whos to say? i'm just a dumb little mortal. stuff like that fascinates me.

After my grandfather was attacked by the meanest, sorriest, craziest holstein bull that ever lived, he told me that the reason he rolled into a clump of bushes to escape was because someone was there motioning him to those bushes. If he hadn't rolled into them, he would have been killed. He told me that he believed it was his guardian angel.

He'd never spoken like that before to me...and I have no reason to doubt what he told me.

Alice, he didn't by chance describe the person did he? The folks I saw looked like you or me but definitely out of place. They were there for over 30 minutes.

Jogeephus------just MY own opinion, but I believe with all my heart and soul that angels really DO exist....I feel it each and every time I hold the hand of someone dying in the hospital!! I KNOW that I am not alone....and neither is that person on the table or bed!!!

They were definately Angels and were there waiting to escort him to the otherside. Consider yourself blessed. They are around us constantly but rarely make themselves visible. I am sure they did that to give you comfort.

Angles or spirits - yeah, they are here.

Many years ago, I was living with a host family in Colorado while I worked as an intern. One night I woke up and my mother's dad was standing at the foot of the bed. (He lived in Florida.) I hadn't seen Granddad in years, but he plainly said to me: "Take care of Grandma when I go." I answered, but, Grandpaw, I'm in college in Texas, will she come live with me or will she stay with Uncle Pat?" He repeated himself, "I want you to take care of her." Then he was gone. He died 2 weeks later. I still cry over that.

My grandfather didn't really give a description...just that someone was motioning him to the clump of bushes. Since it was dark when it happened, I can only suppose what he saw was bright enough to stand out. He was hurt pretty badly and in the hospital for about 2 weeks. But to his dying day, he knew without a doubt that this apparition/person/being was his guardian angel.

While I don't really know if I believe in ghost, I do believe in Angels. My wife and her twin sister where raised by her Grandparents. Their Grandfather use to play around and grab their knees in a "crow claw grip". When they were about 10 yrs old, he had been in the hospital, very ill, on the last legs, for a couple of weeks. The twins slept in the same room in bunk beds, one night sometime in the middle of the night, my wife said she was waken by a someone grabbing her knee in the crow claw, but all she could see was a hand and partial arm, it was over in a few seconds. The next morning, my wifes sister told her, without my wife telling her about her experience, that Grandpa came last night and grabbed her knee, but she could only see his hand and part of his arm. They learned later that morning from their grandma that Grandpa had died during the night at the hospital. This is as my wife told me, yes she believes in ghost.

His way of saying goodbye.

I have to believe. I was in Iraq back in 1991. I had just purchased a kerosene cook stove from a store in Iraq. As I was leaving, something told me I need to have my pistol in hand. As I left the store, I caught a quick movement out of the corner of my eye. If I hadn't had the pistol in my hand, I would be dead.

My brother NEVER wore a seat belt-and was insulted if anyone in the car wore one------they had just moved to Fort Worth, driveing down the hwy when he said a little voice in his ear said "Put on your seatbelt" He said that's crazy, why am I thinking about seatbelts?? The voice came again"PUT ON YOUR SEATBELT" So he told his wife and son I don't know why,but put on your seatbelts......About 5 min later, wreck in front of them, belts kept him behind the wheel so he could fight, kept wife and son inside the car,all were well.....He wears his seatbelt every time,so does son and x wife...

I strongly believe in Angels and spirits, not ghosts they are something else. when my stepson died a few days after he came to me in a dream, and told me things I didn't know, and then he said he had to visit his sisters and girlfriend, the next morning the girls told me of their dreams of what Paul has said to them. it all tallied up. and the night before my wedding my Mum came to me and said 'she could rest easy now, as I was about to go into something that would make me happy' I have been married for 21 years now and we are still very happy.

Angels are definitely among us, "fallen" angels as well, and also the nephilim(offspring of fallen angels and human women).

Hebrews 13:2 "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares."

I'm gonna have to ask my husband about that...he knows more about scripture than I ever will.

Great post. It gives me chill bumps.

My mother saw here father at a church service after he passed and also saw an aunt at the foot of her bed under the same circumstances.

My dad and me were going to get some corn (twelve thousand pounds)one day and he calls up to leave. I told him I had a bad feeling and we shouldn't go. He would have nothing of it and we went any way. I was worried by it the whole way. Something told me. We lost a wheel on the trailer on a straight away after we got through the mountain roads. The studs broke off. We were lucky as it was quite a load. He told me he didn't appreciate me being so much like my mother. He always had the heifer corn delivered after that as the man actually save us money doing it.

As dad got older and suffered from Alzheimer, he lost 2 great dane dogs he'd got. We looked all over and couldn't find them. That night I saw through the eyes of a train conductor. It was so vivid .... I heard "what are they doing on the tracks" and saw the danes get hit. Two days later on Saturday they had not showed up so I went over to the tracks and sure enough there was one of them. Got dad and we had to carry this 150 pound animal up a trestle slope to get it out. He asked where the other was and it came to me and I told him my feeling was it was just South even though I couldn't find it when I had looked. He went back and found it there the next day. I think even in his condition he asked where he could find the other as he was beginning to believe in what I would call Angels.

Read Genesis chapter 6 (KJV only)for more information on the above....also might read what Jesus said to the disciples in the "olivet discourse" in Matthew 24:37 when he said..." But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be...".

What was it like in the days of noah?

Genesis 6:1,2 - And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the "sons of God" (angels) saw the daughters of men that they were fair, and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Genesis 6:4 - There were giants in the earth in those days; "and also after that" (before and after the flood), when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

(This should bring you to mind of greek "mythology" that you studied in high school literature, it had a basis in fact, though we did not know it at the time). Many different ancient civilizations had similar traditions (including the American indians, especially the sioux tribe).

This was one of many attempts by satan to thwart the plan of God by contaminating the human genome (gene pool). ;-)

Fascinating isn't it.... :)

Right on! Angels are not all floating around with halos and wings...

my daddy as he got older had a clean, airy smell about him, it wasnt a cologne, or a washing powder smell, i guess it was just a clean him smell, if i had to shut my eyes and pick him out of a group by his scent, i could do it. several months after he passed away, and many months since he had been opening gates or handeling anything around the farm, i was opening the back gate and i smelled him so strongly, i half expected to turn and see him, i didnt see him, but the smell of him was definitly there. i have had the same thing happen one other time going into the barn. but never as strong as the time at the gate.

I thought all the nephilims died off in the Flood of Noah's time. And that the power of sleeping with Human Women was taken away from the bad angels at this time.

That being the reason there was no more of these Giants left on the earth. And none have been seen since then. If they were still breeding we would know it because due the In human crossing they were freaks and grew to be Giants by mans standards.

When Jesus talked about being like it was in Noah's time. I always understood he was talking about that people would be self indulged in sin and giving no mind to Gods laws and it would be hard to find a righteous one amongst the people.
