Dead eye wanted to take the ss minnow out today on the river so we repurposed the dolly off te squeeze chute.

It became apparent that there was a leak that is only obvious when a fat man sits in the center.
Good name for the ss minnow i think

Silly ok land blubber me! I always was of the opinion those life jackets were to be strapped to.ones body.goes to.show I do not know as much as I thought. :)

He caught one nice bass. I've never been much good at fishing river systems but he seems to have it figured out.
Found the source of the leak... The old girl has a center 2x4 stringer under the glass that runs te length of the keel. Seems it is rotten and when we strapped it to the trailer it crushed one section. I foresee some fiber glass work in the future

I bought mine used too. Funny how I remembered the unique handle on the front of the boat. Can't say I remember seeing many boats with this feature. From what I remember it is a very sturdy boat in the water. Mine was baby blue and i screwed it up by painting it with a paint brush. When the paint started bubbling off in large pieces it looked more like Woodstock camouflage.

That handle is apparently used for dragging it over asphalt roads and down concrete ramps. Just judging by the fact that the horizontal/vertical joints in the transoms were worn completely through when he got it. :mrgreen: So he's already had some crash courses in fiberglass repair
