Anyone tried it?

Longhorn cheese is not made from longhorn milk - who ever told you that is pulling your leg.

I would hate to be the one to break the news to him that "Longhorn Steak House" does not sell longhorn beef!

Not sure if its the same but the name used in Wisconsin is

Longhorn Colby - (Not made by milking a LH) ;-)

Not to change the subject but does anyone realize that naugahyde comes from an animal called a nauga that's hunted for it's skin? So much naugahyde is used that naugas have become a highly endangered species. That's why I joined the "Save the Nauga Foundation" and started boycotting naugahyde.

I hope those longhorns are at least milked humanely.

I don't buy naugahydes for that very reason. Just like I don't buy Plasma T.V.'s. Its not right that kids in third world countries have to give plasma just so we can have a skinny TV. :D

If Longhorn cheese isn't from Longhorn milk, does that mean that the Mexican restaurant in town doesn't get it's Chihuahua cheese from little dogs?!?!?! Man my bubble has just been busted! 8)

I put myself through college hunting and trapping naugas but they got to be so few and far between that I wasn't able to pay tuition. That's when I went to work on the Longhorn dairy.

It could be one of those "niche" markets we would all love to find. Someone may be laughing all the way to the bank.

I sure would like to see that milking barn they use to milk longhorns.

They are probably using polled longhorns ;-)

I can just envision it now, all the Angus people huddled together saying, "This gives me an idea, how about Certified Angus Cheese." :D
