My calf had her last joint ill procedure today called a Pro-Stride. Anyone with experience, I would love to hear about it. The procedure went fine but there was no way I could keep her and her mama in a stagnant stall that doesn’t catch a breeze in 96 degree weather. I’ve learned that my cows weren’t reacting to the pour on, it was the oppressive heat and humidity combo. Today in the stall they were both panting like dogs with their tongues out. I let them out of the stall and put ice in lingerie bags and made saddle bags to cool them off. It’s been a day but everyone is feeling better and it’s finally in the 80s now.
