Pretty small REA per 100 / lbs.........................

That's funny, coming from the guy who still thinks that just because a picture is flipped it is two different bulls!

That bull is a middle of the pack bull at their sale (not one of their headliner bulls) but will sell for more than you will ever sell one of your Oklahoma Reds for LOL.

I don't see much wrong with that bull. He's out of a durn good cow. If there was anything I'd change it would be a smaller bw epd. Even though I wouldn't be worried too much. I've even used a 4.5 epd bull of Coopers on heifers and never had a problem.

Oh and I don't know how it happened but there is no subscription on the sale. I am sure Mark got that done and a big thanks to him.

6037S sons seem most popular with buyers today.

Glad Coopers fixed the subscription deal.

LiveAuction.TV is not worth paying $50 for. I have a fast connection and the video is spotty at best.

The sound was pretty good this year. Better than in the past, The video was slightly choppy for me. Some good prices but yet about anyone could find a bull if they wanted one. Something for about any budget.

i just wanted to watch frasers deal

What sale do you want to watch? They don’t all require subscriptions.

We use subscriptions on the larger sales to validate bidders before they purchase. I don’t know everyone.

you have to be kidding with the subscription right? build it into your services on the producers end - several bulls coming up on your auction schedule i am interested in but no way i am going to pay 50 for the right to watch it when you are already charging the producers

Sales need to quit using LiveAuctions.TV and go to DVAuctions or some other service. Any fee should be built into the amount charged to the sale. It is ridiculous to charge to watch a sale. When producers start worrying a little about losing sales or even bids they will flee. The thing is they are losing bidders and/or sales now.

Dont' really care what he sells for.

Compared to our Red Polls he has a small REA per 100 lbs.

Question? If you turn a ribeye over is it still the same piece of meat?

I'm thinking the Oklahoma Einstein might insist that if you turn a Ribeye over it becomes a Sirloin! LOL

Any favorite or standout bull this year? Or heifer

On Holden's bulls, when I scanned through them, I didn't see any that I liked nearly as well as the 8203 bull from last year's sale. But Jack sure had some really nice heifers in this year's sale!

I REALLY liked the Cooper bull, CL 1 Domino 994W 1ET - based on his picture - and he likely would have been my pick of all the bulls in the two sales this year, but his 108 Lb. actual BW sure worries me. Anyone know how he sold?

I've been out of touch for several days so I didn't get to watch either sale.

$27,000 for 3/4 interest and full possession.

I was certainly not trying to pick the best bull at Coopers. Just one that interested me and I thought might fly under the radar and be affordable.

$6,000 was affordable considering the price a lot of them brought but still out of my price range, especially considering how it would have cost a pretty penny to have shipping arranged. They were offering 1000 miles shipping but that would not have got him home!

When you go to buy a bull let me know so I can hitch hike one back on your trailer.

Ace, you need to contact Fraser's directly and tell THEM how you feel about the subscription! Get them to get Brad to waive the subscription on their sale or change companies. When I complained about the National Sale, Matt Sims called me and said he could get the subscription waived - in fact he wouldn't allow Brad to use it for any sale that he manages. So it's really selective at this point - and the way to get it changed is to complain and "raise H@LL" with the breeders about it. Brad doesn't care - he flat told me that he'd rather have someone that paid HIM the subscription taking up his bandwidth rather than someone like me who has ACTUALLY bid on and bought cattle from the breeder through his service. After that statement, I'M completely boycotting all of his sales. If a breeder wants my business, he's going to have to change from liveauctions.tv or provide an alternative venue like Holden does.

At least Brad answered your e-mail. I imagine he saw his error in not answering mine. But if enough of us complain directly to the breeders, he'll get the message about that stupid subscription.

Thanks, WLM.

I suspect my use of Cooper-Holden bulls will be restricted to whatever bulls I could get semen on, rather than a walking-around bull. Right now, other than 8203, my interest would lean more toward going back in time - to HH Advance 492D or perhaps as far back as CL 1 Domino 386. I've got some semen of two Miles City bulls already - L1 Domino 99496 and L1 Domino 95461 - and I've still got a few straws of CJH L1 Domino 552 left that I need to use.
