anyone for a barrel competition?????

Beefy's picture the other day of a cow that looked like a barrel with legs made me laugh so hard, I thought we could have a barrel competition. Please submit your photo. Don't know who could be the judge, we'll figure that out later.

I'll start with an easy one to beat:

PS- Judged a dog show once and didn't know what I was doing. Went with my heart and those in the know said I was right on.

I guess the cow that most resembles a barrel - the cow that is the biggest around.

I would think circumference uniformity...and that roundness perfection that starts at the spine and ends where both sides meet under the belly. Just my opinion...

I can't compete with Beefy, no doubt, but I was hoping to see some hilarious pics of big mamas.

Cypress you got me laughing. I've got one that's a barrell with short legs. She calves every 11 months except for this year she went 12 months. I'd like to get a pic of her when she is about to calve. After she calves she is still huge. She is 1/2 angus and 1/2 charlais. (no ear but plenty of belly)

It's not fair doing this in the winter. The Spring calvers are still too small in girth and there isn;t any really juicy grass to get them gassed up.

my barrel cow was MIA for two days. you would think i would be able to find her (I rarely cannot find one and if i cant it ticks me off to no end). anyway, she magically appeared today out of the blue with a new calf. dont know the sex. Darryl if tis a boy. no pics yet.

shes a 13 year old. Out of an Angus bull and a gray cow that to the best of my knowledge was half angus and half charolais.

One thing for sure is Beefy's cow gets first right off the start, everyone else will be playing for Second place. I might have to save that picture as my wallpaper on the desktop.

We have an angus that gets pretty fat but I am in duns situation she will not be there till around March.

Attached is a picture of a cow I bought at the salebarn a couple of weeks ago. The Vet at the salebarn sleeved her and said she was 5 months. What do you think?
