Walked the fence today with the Rat dogs in tow. Found insulation in the trees in the middle of the woods, a piece of twisted sheet metal in the pasture, some duct work, and a busted two by something with nail holes in it. Apparently the nails had been ripped out. Must have landed here early Wednesday morning when the tornadoes were having their way with NW Alabama.

Probably the most surreal thing I've ever witnessed was after a tornado. Heard a crashing noise behind us and turned to see a washing machine that had apparantly been lodged in a tree hitting the ground. Began looking in the trees for other things only to see the carcus of a goat wrapped around the whorl of some tree branches about 30 feet up. Pure destruction.

There had been a series of tornadoes that hit 90 miles to our west, the next day I found pictures in the pasture. That was erie.
