Anybody like Remington 870 Wingmaster's?

This is a ONE OF A KIND Remington 870 Wingmaster. Also my question is if you became the proud owner would you keep the sling or replace it? :lol:

A shotgun of that rareity and condition deserves only the best. I reccomend that if you are lucky enuf to be the new proud owner that you should have the Duck Commander company design a one of a kind camo sling for it.

Wingmaster is a good gun. That price is half what I'd pay. But it says, "As is". What's wrong with it?

Buyer beware I suppose.

Could be coming out of an estate. Could be someone dumping a wore out gun. No real way of knowing.

Price is low enough to take the risk, IMHO

On a serious note... an 870 wingmaster is one of the most reliable guns on the market. That or an 1100 is one of the best bang for the buck shotguns out there IMO. They can be had for a very reasonable price and will outlast you and your kids.

Wingmaster vs Moss 500 for me I will go moss each and every time. The patterns in the Moss are great out the box and the wingmaster I bought needed aftermarket choke help. Now what I do agree on is the 1100's I have 2 -1100 magnums that I love with a 30" barrel. I would never sell those.

My family has quiet a few of them from the 70-80s and several of the newer 3" magnums. All great guns with out a flaw. We are pretty big in to dove hunting, trap, skeet, ect. I put quite a few trophies from SA on the wall with an old Wingmaster. Nothing burnt those sissy trap shooters up like a poor boy with a Wingmaster putting it on their butts. :lol2:

The problem with Remington shotguns is the design flaw that they share with a lot of others. Safety at the rear of the trigger gaurd. Winchester has it at the front where you can just wipe it off and your finger is on the trigger instead of having to reach forward for it after taking the safety off.

Remington 870 I had I bought new in 1998 and was the first gun I bought as an adult. I tried and tried to get that thing patterned right and saw my friend who had bought the mossberg 500 shooting nicely out the box . I dove hunted with the 870 after getting a aftermarket choke but by November I had a Moss 500 and still carry it today in my truck.

Did you actually open the picture. The gun is totally destroyed. Rattlecan paint job and cracked wood.

Pretty sure was wingmaster but was a long time ago .. I could be wrong but wing master sticks out in my head

Looks like mine. I still use mine as my turkey gun. I spray painted it with a camo pattern. Turkeys haven't seemed to care that it is ugly.

I bought an model 870 wingmaster 12 ga. with the ventilated rib in the mid 70's at J.C. Penney's downtown Bremerton Wa.

Sporting goods was right next to the snack bar downstairs. Dam; the french fries were good!!

Still have it, great condition. I'll see if I can find the reciept! Wonder what I paid for it as a teen?
