I bought a 404 and a 704 in 2005.
I like them. The 404 is considered the best plain cheap utlility tractor available. I bought from Rural King 15000 for the 704 and 7000 for the 404. Definitely work every penny and more.
Try tractorbynet.com discussion board or the cota discussion board for a lot of good information. I post there regularly.
If your blood runs some color: red blue green or orange, dont waste your time.

The only thing that scares me about those cheaper brands of tractors is will you be able to get parts right away when you need them , because down the road you will need parts.

That was one of the things that helped me to decide on getting another red tractor. (that and the fact that they were so close on price anyway, I wasn't saving much money by purchasing an off color tractor)
