Anybody from the Northwest?

I was wondering if anybody on here is ranching in the Northwest. Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and even Northern California. Trying to touch bases with other cattle producers in our area. Wondering about likes and dislikes in our region. Look forward to hearing from everyone. No disrespect to folks anywhere else just wanting to talk a little regional topics, but feel free to jump in if you see something interesting.

I am here in soggy Western Washington.

Right now I am hating the rain. The mud is soon to follow. There is something about 35 degrees and pouring rain that just sits wrong with me. I am not mentally ready for winter this year.

On the other hand we just don't have real droughts. And this country sure can grow grass.

So are you on the dry side of the hill or the wet side.

Welcome, WWA. :welcome: I'm in WA, on the drier side of the mountains from Dave. We keep some purebred British Whites, and are raising up some baby commercial heifers, as well as butcher steers. We are not big producers, as the world of cattle goes.

You'll see Alan on here now and then; he's in OR, but not sure just where. Djinwa is up near Spokane. I know there are several from MT on the boards.

Where are you located?

Thanks for replying guys. We are on the dry side south of spokane. Are ya ll selling beef directly to consumers or do you sell to feedlots? How was the WSU clinic on AIing?

We sell direct, beef-on-the-rail. And the AI workshop was great.
