I recently hear that the Tennessee legislature is considering a bill that would make any sexual contact between a teacher and a student a felony. Those opposed to the bill fear that would put an end to home schooling in the state.

Dave, this is just a disgusting post, 3MR and MikeC you both think it is funny do you? Since when is suggesting that parents who home school their children sexually molest them? Since this is a cattle forum would it be funny if I suggested that when you go out to check you cattle you take you daughter along in the truck so you can touch her? There is nothing funny to joke about a defenseless child being sexually molested.

WHOA!!! hang on there just a sec, I'm a thinkin you may be taking the joke a little extreme. If you have read anything on this board (it is the 'coffe shop'...we don't have to discuss cattle here) then you would know that there is no malicious intent here. Lighten up a little.

It's a joke - possibly of questionable taste - but still a joke.

It is a joke that I heard on a national televised TV show. The only thing I changed was the state so as to poke a little fun at our friends from Tennessee. I am sorry that you find it that offensive.

I'm not sure if you're talking to me or not but, just for the record, I didn't find it offensive at all. I actually got quite a giggle out of it! ;-)

Twentyfourseven it was a joke, If you wanted to round up some "volunteers" to lynch a real child molester, this board Im sure would oblige.

Bein' that I'm repeating the 8th grade for the 21st consecutive year, I guess my chances for a diploma are slim with this new law.

On a seriuos note, Us Volunteers would ride in a heartbeat to rid out a Molester.

Ya'll note that 24-7 has only been with us a short time. He'll grow to understand us and love us.

24/7 is just upset because the joke was originally about Southern Illinois.

PS: If you can make a funny joke about cattle using a cultural hillbilly/country stereotype, then by all means go for it. I could use a good laugh.
