Just don;t use the numbers given for the various breeds as gospel. Since that was published, Gelbvieh, Simmenthal and Red Angus have merged their EPDs. Also the number given, at least for Red Angus are not even close with todays EPDs
 
I did notice the data for the breeds was 2002!. The explanations are good however.

Since Gelbvieh, Simm and RA have merged, I suppose that means you can compare them directly?
