Have a question - appreciate any thoughts you guys may have. My pasture has gotten a little thin in spots so I am planning on overseeding my pasture with Kentucky 31 fescue in September. Fall seedings seem to work well in my area- I am in western North Carolina. However, I do have a problem with Buttercup (hate that weed!). I plan to use Milestone in early spring - late Feb. or early March to kill it. My question is- do you think that would kill new grass seed I sowed in September?

It's OK if the grass has developed secondary root systems (45-60 days after planting). September was a long time ago, so you should be OK. The folks at Dow are very good and providing advice, too.

Use 2pts of 2-4d per acre in late feb and early march. If you wait till after middle of march you will need to use 4pt per ac. This is per UT forage website. No it will not hurt your newly seeded field using this amount of 2-4d application

Thanks guys- I did not think it would hurt, but wanted to get other opinions.
