Well as far as the 5050 bull goes- he is very easy calving but i have been a little disappointed with the growth rate so far. They aren't looking as nice as the 208 calves i had last year out of the same cows. But i only have 3 5050 calves here so not much of a sample. According to his EPDs he should be great- will have to re-evaluate come weaning time. Another thing about 5050 is that his scrotal epd is now negative. 208's was +1 something.

We are trying out Gridmaker this year and using Rito 2x15 on the heifers.

I have some Rito 2X15 semen also, what do you know about his calves. I have his half brother M D Expectation (15040060) as my cleanup bull now, I really like him but havent got any babies yet (5 due this November)

we had 4 of his calves this year out of heifers and 3 of them were born easy and all are growing great. The one that was born hard was out of a mostly simmental cow so thats where i place the blame for that.(the ones that were born easy were also out of simmy cross heifers).

We used him on 8 heifers this year.
 
Nice nice animals. Our pasture looks like that too. Sure hope it lasts for a couple months. The cattle look so good when they come off a good summers pasture.
