Angus hefers hay-rations

I'm going to winter five hefers (10-11 months old) over the winter and breed in the spring.

They are on about 15 acres of pasture.

How much hay will these girls eat a week here in these Missouri Hills over the winter?

I'm just trying to estimate how much hay to buy.

If you search the threads you'll find many replies and discussions related to this subject.

In Texas, with pasture cattle, I figure one round bale per head per month if I don't have winter wheat, oats, or rye to forage. That ought to give you some idea.
