If I was considering docility. I would look awful hard at the ones raising the animals as well as the animals. Animals are no more docile than those that care for them.
We have a brangus cow up now real close to calving. Other owner would cause her to jump a 6 foot fence flat footed. We have had her 18 mos and she is a big old pet only 4 years old. Wants attention all the time and she never gets anything special from a bucket. All our cows are fed wet rolled sorgrum sudan with beans grown with the grass. I believe its called proton. First 30 days we had her she was jittery since then all is calm.
Now seperate her from the others she gets a little nervous.
