White Oak Precise 6002:
Phenotype - not bad, but a litttle light in the hind quarters. We should see a rear view.

Genotype (EPD's) - Birth Weight is 1.3 - fine for heifers. His WW, YW, Milk EPD's are too low for today's breeding. A negative scrotal EPD of -.23 is not good. His Carcass EPD's are really pretty good.. Ultrasound EPD's are only fair. Low REA ( .18 )

My Opinion: For either Replacements or Terminal - you can do a lot better! Look at Riverbend Mile High 3718.( Reg # 14512407) His EPD's will blow you away! You usually get what you pay for. In buying bulls, don't cheat yourself, OR your cows!

WW EPD stinks. Carcass quality should be above breed average. He was a very popular bull a couple of years ago so he might work in the show ring. I know some performance breeders who used him when he was a hot rock but didn't use him the next year.

What hurt this bull was that his calves never lived up to his numbers. I won't say they lied when they put the numbers out, but there were breeders that used him that wound up disappointed. The one we use for one. The last few calves they had by him never sold well in their sale.
