Heifer calf off our oldest cow. Mama is 12 years old this year.

What can happen if you don't put the calving chains on right. He was a hard pull, looks nasty, but I think he will be fine.
As you can see our cows are WILD!! DH was trying to catch a calf that was chewing on a bunch of twine.
Couple of first calvers babies
The very newest baby, born this afternoon. He was already trying to bounce, even though he could hardly walk.
The one everyone is trying to catch up to. Good luck to them, I say.... Straight Hereford. A contender for next year's 4H steer??
This one is out of one of my favorite cows. Shorthorn x Angus on mama's side and Hereford on the sire.
He makes the black look like a baby....
