I call BS on the lawyer who said he would take the case suing over the posted picture of the shop lifter. For one thing what is the measure of damages to a shop lifter? My question is, why did the store owner not call law enforcement?
Truth is an absolute defense to slander and libel. If the store keep is confident enough of the shop lifter's gilt to post the picture, He should not back down because of fear of law suit. Around here the pictures of people who are arrested are regularly published in a paper.
I say if it cuts down on crime, go ahead and put the picture in the window. :bs:

Read the story Judge, store keeper had the picture put up in his store. Mike Rowe posted it on facebook but put a black strip over the shop lifters eyes.
