Well, I was just too excited not to share this. Our little Romeo heifer was born this morning around 4:00am (close guess) So much for daylight calving, huh?

1st calf heifer and was thrilled to see me coming with my 1million candle power spotlight this morning

Congrats.
I talked to the ABS guy the other day and he says Romeo isn;t going up this year. He can't get a straight answer from the headquarters on what the deal is with CC, but they have lots of semen put up so he'll be available for a good while even if he doesn;t go back into production. We're thinking very seriously about using Romeo a lot this year, just haven't decided for sure yet.

I am beginning she may be the world's most intelligent/thoughtful cow! (How many do you know of that hold a calf till a dry warm front in January?) By the way--she was a sweet little 63lbs!
