Went to check cows at 10pm. Found a first year heifer with her water broke, but not in hard labor in the corral. Put her in the barn.
Rechecked her at 11pm. Still not in hard labor so left her alone.
12am checked again. Was laying down and doing some pushing, but not alot.
12:45 am rechecked and this time I went in to see if I could feel what was going on. Both front feet are there and the head right there too.
Got both front feet to come out more, but not the head.
Feeling father back realized the pelvis is too small and the head will not pass through.
Called the vet and he came out and after a couple of tries to see in the calf could be worked through did a c-section.
Got a nice heifer calf and a live cow.
Much better then last years nightmare.
