Back in the early 70's they use to grow it in the river bottoms. They still grow alot of it up in North East Arkansas. I dont know what variety it is. But if you are planning on selling any of it for horse hay. I hear you have to watch for blister bugs in it. The say blister bugs will kill a horse.
