Air Conditioner threats to humanity

Where are these supposed air conditioners and refrigerators that are bombing marathons, and hijacking planes, and organizing mass shootings? Is it one particular brand? I want to stay away from them. :lol:

Air Conditioners work by removing warm and hot air from a room. Most people think that the air conditioner is pumping cold air into the room, which it does, but that is misleading.

If we pumped all the hot air out of ct. There wouldn't be anybody here....
 
My granddaddy swore that when people started putting ice in their drinking water, and buying air conditioners that the work ethic never was the same again. I believe granddaddy was right. John, not so much.
 
I never had AC until June 2015 which means I got along fine for 63 years without it. I will admit that it is nice but I could get along without it.

In fact, air conditioners do not remove hot air from a room and neither do they pump cold air into a room. They cool the air that's in the room by a system of heat transfer involving some coolant, a compressor, coils, and fans. The same air stays in the room the whole time. There is no air exchange taking place.
 
Only reason I run A/C is to cause global warming so the folks up north won't have to use so much heating oil to stay warm which will drive the cost of diesel down. Guess it just boils down to what I like more, polar bears or cheap diesel.

I enjoy ac when it's really hot, but I'm not crazy about it if I can manage without it. I haven't had it on since October and probably won't have it back on until May.
